Ecological site concept
In MLRA 55A, map unit components considered 'Non-Site' include soil materials that have been altered during urban development, road construction, borrow and pit areas, earthen dams, and landfills. It also includes non-vegetated stream channels, water, and rock outcrop. (Alan Gulsvig 3/29/2017)
